Just another example of the abuse of power.
Here we have a Ministry of Transportation Ontario Motor Vehicle Enforcement Officer who has used his status to park illegally. And for what? To do his grocery shopping. This was taken in a mall on Hurontario North in Brampton, Ontario (around the 10906 range), -- Sept. 20, 2007 around 2:00pm EST.
If you wish to voice your displeasure in seeing this type of abuse, you can contact the MOT here --> http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/feedback/minister.htm.
My dad received a ticket a few months back for stopping in a no parking zone -- I won't bore you with the details, but less than a week later I see the same Meter Maid** at the drug store around the corner doing her personal shopping -- and you guessed it, illegally parked. At the time, I didn't have a camera phone and didn't have my camera with me -- now, I am prepared and watch for it (gonna buy a small digital video cam this week too!).
**Yes, you are a Meter Maid -- you can try and sugar coat it by calling yourselves "Bylaw Officers", but when it all boils down, you hand out tickets at expired meters -- hence you are a Meter Maid!
If you have any pictures or video of the abuse of power, please feel free to send them to me and I will post them here.
Thank you for your e-mail addressed to the Honourable Donna Cansfield, Minister of Transportation. Your e-mail is important to us. It has been forwarded to the appropriate Ministry office for review and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Once again, thank you for bringing your concerns to Minister Cansfield's attention. She always appreciates hearing from members of the public.

comments: I am really tired of seeing officers abuse their power,
effectively smacking every Ontarian in the face.

UPDATED (10/12/07) -- a response from the MTO;
I would also like to mention that this is not about seeing this officer disciplined -- it is about making overall changes within the system -- it's about standing up and saying I'm no longer going to tolerate the abuse of power, from any form of government or civil servant, and encourage others to do the same. I don't know this officer and have nothing against him -- unfortunately, he is the first example. (I now have a Sony Handicam mounted in the front windshield of my truck, which records all day long.)
